White Farmhouse

For this painting I am working on gesso over hardboard. This surface has a much different texture than canvas and I enjoy the different effects that I can get on it. An old abandoned farmhouse is what I decided on as the subject for this piece. I always find a sense of mystery about an abandoned farmhouse. Wondering why it was left to decay and what families might have once lived there.
