Old White Farmhouse Tonalist Farm Painting

This is one of my old farmhouse pieces that I painted a few years ago.  As an artist, certain paintings become my favorites and this is one of them.  I wanted a feel of an overcast sky with the chimney smoke drifting from the chimneys and a long country dirt road running past it.  There is something special about the old iconic white farmhouses scattered throughout this great country, that continue to intrigue and inspire me for my art.

Original Commissioned Manor House Portrait

This is one of the most interesting commissioned pieces that I have painted so far.  This is a very old walled manor house, that sets in the countryside, in France.  The main structure of this house dates to the 1480's.  The client wanted it done as a very minimal landscape, in one of my blue sky and white cloud painting scenes.  I have shown several views of the painting while in progress below.

This painting was an interesting challenge for me as a very uncommon house portrait piece.
