Flat Plains in the Heartland

For those of you that have not experienced the Heartland, there are areas of land here that are extremely flat for many, many miles! I grew up in an area like this and love the long distances that one can see with such a horizon line. This painting is one of my simplified and slightly abstracted views of such a scene.
