I wanted the old red barn to be the central subject for this painting. I left the house partially hidden and tucked behind a tree. On an old farm life seemed to revolve around the barn. Many of the these wonderful old pieces of American history have now been demolished or left to fall down from neglect. I hope to help preserve a feel for these old farmsteads in my art work.
