Poppy Field Old Red Barn Original Landscape Painting

I love spring here in the midwest! The fields are newly planted and sprouting rows of tiny corn plants around our old farmstead. I like the look of the sky dotted with endless fluffy white clouds floating overhead. In my paintings, I like to combine what I see around me, with a bit of a surreal storybook look and feel. For this landscape I decided on a field of red poppies surrounding an old red barn. Three remaining fenceposts sit to one side of the barn.
