An Old Swedish Farm as a Contemporary Farm Portrait Painting

I have been too busy to post here for while now.  Currently I am working on a commissioned painting of a custom farm portrait for a client.  This will be a present for their husband so is under wraps for now!  I will plan to post it here on my blog in the future, with my clients ok after it has been delivered.  Here is an example of a previous farm portrait that I painted in the past.  

This portrait was painted for a couple in Sweden of their farm.  They wanted me to include their three pet cats in the scene also.  This was a fun painting to work on!

Custom House Portraits

Here are a few examples of my country style, custom house portraits.  The lower one was painted as a wedding gift, of the couple standing in front of the old stone house that has been in the family for several generations.  The middle painting shows a more distant scene of a iconic old white farmhouse setttled in a quiet meadow.  The top painting is of a historic Greek Revival style home in a spring scene with the cherry tree in full bloom.    For more information and ordering please see the link below.

Original Commissioned Manor House Portrait

This is one of the most interesting commissioned pieces that I have painted so far.  This is a very old walled manor house, that sets in the countryside, in France.  The main structure of this house dates to the 1480's.  The client wanted it done as a very minimal landscape, in one of my blue sky and white cloud painting scenes.  I have shown several views of the painting while in progress below.

This painting was an interesting challenge for me as a very uncommon house portrait piece.
