About Me

I live and paint in the quiet of the Midwestern Heartland. My contemporary paintings show my impression of the old barns, farms, houses, fields, forests, meadows, and lakes of the American heartland.

I paint from my memories and impressions of places that I have been inspired by. I have been working on a series of paintings that show these quiet, calm and peaceful landscapes.
My painting style leans towards realism, although I often use elements of tonalism, impressionism and the abstract in them also.

I received a BFA in Fine Art from Northern IL University. My original art has been shown in gallery shows in the U.S. and is in private collections throughout the U.S.A. as well as in: Iceland, France, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, England, Scotland, Portugal, Italy, Japan and Australia.

An article about my original heartland landscape paintings was in the Art Magazine "Empty Easel". My paintings are featured in the heritage cookbook "Cinagro Farm, Family Favorites from the Farm and Beyond". One of my farm landscape paintings is the cover art on a classical CD by the Wingra Quintet.
